Year six children have been working hard revising for the SATs next week. Although we have still found time to keep fit and relax using GONoodle where we have enjoyed increasing our heart rates while having fun trying to copy dance moves. We have also used the mindfulness exercises to release any feeling of stress at this important time.
The SATs begin on Monday 14th May as follows:
Monday 14th – paper 1 punctuation and grammar/ paper 2 spelling
Tuesday 15th – Reading paper
Wednesday 16th – maths paper 1(arithmetic )and paper 2(problem solving and reasoning)
Thursday 17th – maths paper 3 (problem solving and reasoning)
As per usual we will be offering the children a second breakfast of toast and juice when they come in at 8:40(usual time) and they will then have a short break before starting the SATs papers. Ways to help your child during SATs week:
- Plenty of rest - going to bed early
- Calm relaxed start to the day
- Coming in to school on time
- Use GoNoodle for exercise and relaxation techniques
Should you have any questions or worries regarding SATs week please come in and see either Mrs Thomas, Miss Butler or Mr Walsh.
