Many of the tools on the internet such as search engines, YouTube and social networks give children fantastic learning opportunities. The speed at which these services are created and used by children can be very rapid and it can be easy to get left behind. We have developed this page to try and help parents keep their children safe while using these exiciting technologies with the following guides.
Many of these guides have been created by PlanIT Primary. This is a local partnership of schools and Microcomms to try and share resources in the IT world. They and we believe that Savvy Parents = Safe Kids.
- Fortnite Battle Royale Guide (from www.nationalonlinesafety.com)
- Savvy Parents Guide
- Google Safe Search
- YouTube Safety Mode
- YouTube Factsheet for Parents
- iPad Parental Controls
- ‘Nude Selfies: What Parent and Carers Need to Know’ (for secondary school age children)
If there is anything that you currently struggle with or have struggled with in the past then please contact us here and we will try and create a guide for it to assist others.
